Aerie’s Knowledge Solutions addresses a critical need almost every company faces.  We have entered an era where knowledge has replaced land, labor and capital as our KEY economic resource.  With 80 million Baby Boomers (45% of the workforce) set to retire over the next 10-15 years, we will lose almost HALF of this resource.  How can we maintain our continuity of production, service and competitiveness when our knowledge walks out the door?  Unlike land, labor and capital, knowledge has no industrial boundaries. Capture historical (and cultural) information, lessons learned, important networks and relationships, as well as decision drivers from successful employees who are leaving the workforce.  This is a 7-week structured interview process aimed at capturing and documenting the most critical knowledge the employee knows and has not written down then delivering it in a useful format.


KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

Quickly capture information from a departing employee with the focus being on transferring that knowledge to the successor.  This process includes identifying competencies for the replacement, and successfully on-boarding to insure minimal loss in operations.  KT is a fast paced 3-week process aimed at collecting process-critical information then transferring that knowledge to the employee's successor allowing the employer time to focus on making the right hiring decision while Aerie focuses on retaining the knowledge.


KNOWLEDGE PLANNING
How can we get Jim ready to run this place?

Targeted to support the succession plan by documenting critical knowledge that the predecessor often has not recorded.  This process can last 6-months, but is designed to allow the SME (Subject Matter Expert or predecessor) to operate in their current capacity with minimal interruption while Aerie gathers information needed to “bring the successor up to speed”!

Searchable database that allows users to find and use corporate knowledge.  We can put the information in your existing knowledge management system or in Aerie’s web-based application to allow fast retrieval and information sharing.

Knowledge Management is big and often people do not even know where to begin.  Aerie’s skilled consultants will assess your knowledge risks and help you create a plan to address areas where emphasis on knowledge capture and knowledge sharing may be needed.
